This page is maintained by Baansri to explain how our service works, the limits of the technology we use, how we handle personal information, and the basis on which you use the site. It is not a legal certificate or independent legal advice. If you need advice about your specific situation, please consult a qualified lawyer.
Part 1 — Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
This website, baansri.com ("Baansri", "the Service"), is operated by Mynas Recycling Pty Ltd (ACN 648 610 397), a company registered in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us", "our"). Our registered address is 25 Vesper Avenue, Tarneit VIC 3029, and you can write to us at mynasre.ai@gmail.com.
Baansri provides online practice mock exams for students preparing for Year 7 grammar-school and selective-school entrance tests. These Terms apply from the date this site was first published and are updated from time to time.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing, browsing, creating an account on, or sitting a mock exam through Baansri, you agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy set out below. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service. We may update these Terms at any time by publishing a revised version on this page; continued use after an update means you accept it.
3. Accounts, students under 18, and parent or guardian consent
Certain features require an account. You warrant that the information you provide at registration is accurate and current, and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for notifying us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.
Baansri is designed for students preparing for school entrance exams, and most users are minors. Where the student is under 18 years of age, our sign-up form requires the nomination of a parent or legal guardian email address and a confirmation that the parent or legal guardian has read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy on the student's behalf. We record that email address and the date consent was given against the account.
The adult who creates or approves a student's account is responsible for that student's use of the Service, and may exercise the account's privacy rights (access, correction and deletion) on the student's behalf.
You may not register for or use the Service if you are barred from receiving it under any applicable law.
4. What the Service provides
Baansri offers timed multiple-choice and written-expression practice papers styled after common Australian entrance-exam formats, together with automatic marking, score reports and coaching notes.
We are an independent preparation tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by any grammar school, selective school, ACER, AAS, Edutest, HAST or any other testing authority. Practice material does not guarantee performance on any real exam, and no result on Baansri implies any admission outcome.
5. Your obligations
You agree to:
- use the Service only for personal, non-commercial study purposes;
- keep your password confidential and not use another person's account;
- not use the Service for unauthorised commercial purposes, unsolicited communications, or automated, scripted or bot access; and
- accept that we may remove content or suspend or terminate access where these Terms are breached.
6. Fees and refunds
Baansri is currently provided free of charge. There is no subscription fee, and we do not collect payment details through the Service.
If we introduce paid features in future, we will publish the pricing, billing method, payment processor and refund terms on this page before any charge is made, and no existing user will be charged without first agreeing to those terms. Nothing in this section limits any right to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Technology limitations
Mock exam content, explanations and coaching notes are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence and reviewed by us before publication. Despite that review, AI-generated material may occasionally contain errors, outdated wording, or explanations that do not precisely match a particular school's current syllabus or the exact wording of an official paper.
Treat Baansri as a practice aid, not an authoritative source of exam questions, curriculum, admissions policy or official scoring methodology. Always confirm important facts with the target school or the relevant test provider.
The Service depends on internet connectivity, third-party hosting and cloud AI services. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and may pause the Service for maintenance, updates or factors outside our reasonable control.
8. Intellectual property
The Service and its content — questions, explanations, reports, branding, graphics and software — are protected by copyright and are owned by or licensed to us. While you hold an account, you have a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to use the Service under these Terms, to cache content for normal browsing, and to print pages for personal, non-commercial use.
You must not broadcast, republish, upload, distribute, publicly display, adapt, resell, scrape, reverse-engineer or build a competing product from our content without our prior written permission. Nothing here transfers any business name, trade mark or domain name to you. Test providers' names and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used nominatively only, to identify the format being practised.
9. General disclaimer
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any guarantee, warranty or condition implied by law — including the Australian Consumer Law — that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, all other terms not expressly stated are excluded, and the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", at your own risk.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service or these Terms will not exceed — at our option — the resupply of the affected Service or, where a non-excludable guarantee applies, the amount you paid for it (currently nil, as the Service is free).
Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss, loss of profit or damage to goodwill, including loss arising from reliance on answers or explanations, lost marks, missed admissions opportunities, device or data loss, or service interruption.
Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Termination
You may close your account and end these Terms at any time by giving us 30 days' written notice at mynasre.ai@gmail.com and deleting your account.
We may terminate or suspend access without notice for breach of these Terms, illegality, harm to our name or reputation or to the rights of others, where required by law, or where we reasonably decide the Service is no longer viable to provide.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us, our affiliates, employees, agents and licensors against claims, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from content you submit, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms — except to the extent caused by our own negligence or breach, or where such an indemnity would not be enforceable at law.
13. Dispute resolution
Except where urgent interlocutory relief is required, a party must give the other written notice of a dispute and attempt to resolve it before commencing proceedings: 30 days' good-faith negotiation, then mediation (with a mediator agreed between the parties or appointed by the Australian Mediation Association) held in Victoria. Each party bears its own costs and shares the mediator's fees; communications are confidential and without prejudice; either party may end the mediation after one month without resolution. This clause does not limit any right to complain to a regulator or consumer body.
14. Governing law and international use
The Service is intended for Australian residents. These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
If you access Baansri from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with your own local laws. Where UK or EU data protection law applies to you, see the Privacy Policy below.
15. Severance
If any part of these Terms is found to be void or unenforceable, that part is severed and the remainder continues in force.
Part 2 — Privacy Policy
16. Who handles your information
This Privacy Policy is issued by Mynas Recycling Pty Ltd (ACN 648 610 397) in respect of baansri.com. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where it applies to you, the UK and EU GDPR. You can contact us in writing at 25 Vesper Avenue, Tarneit VIC 3029, or by email at mynasre.ai@gmail.com.
17. What we collect and why
For baansri.com we collect:
- the student's name and email address;
- where the student is under 18, a parent or guardian email address and the date consent was recorded;
- account and login details (passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text);
- mock exam attempts, answers, timings, scores and generated coaching reports;
- support correspondence you send us.
We use this information only to operate the account, mark and report on practice attempts, keep the Service secure, and respond to support requests. Our lawful bases, where the GDPR applies, are performance of a contract with you and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service; for under-18 accounts we additionally rely on parent or guardian consent.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
18. Who we share it with
We disclose personal information only to service providers who help us run the Service — our cloud hosting, database and authentication provider, our AI provider (which generates explanations and coaching notes), and a connected cloud storage provider used for administrative backups — and where required or authorised by law.
Some of these providers process data outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles and, where applicable, appropriate GDPR transfer safeguards.
19. How we protect it
We use industry-standard protections: encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, row-level access controls so an account can only read its own results, server-side enforcement of marking so answers cannot be tampered with, least-privilege access for backend systems, and a content security policy restricting what the site may load. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, and you use the Service on that understanding.
20. How long we keep it
We keep personal information and test history for up to 12 months after your last activity, or until you delete your account, whichever is earlier. After that we delete or anonymise the data, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer.
22. Your rights, access and complaints
You may request access to, or correction or deletion of, your personal information by emailing mynasre.ai@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first. Where you are the parent or guardian of a student user, you may exercise these rights on their behalf.
If the UK or EU GDPR applies to you, you additionally have the right to be informed how your data is used, to obtain a copy, to correct inaccurate data, to request erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to object to automated decision-making. We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects — automatic marking of a practice paper is not an admissions decision.
If you are unhappy with our response, Australian residents may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au); UK and EU residents may complain to their local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
23. Changes to this Policy and contact
We may update this Policy at any time; changes take effect once published on this page with a revised date. For any question about these Terms, your account or your data, email us at mynasre.ai@gmail.com.
